Dead Gowns is the project of Portland-Maine-based songwriter Geneviève Beaudoin. Her latest single is called ‘How You Act.’ It’s the first from a series of new recordings that New Commute says will “turn the head of any Whitney or Cate Le Bon enthusiast” and For the Rabbits calls “the sound of a songwriter coming good on all her promises and then some.”

Allegra Krieger is a new york based songwriter and composer. With emotive lyricism and explorative harmony, her songs are at once cathartic and compelling. She will be releasing her second album with Northern Spy Records, “Precious Thing” on March 4th 2022.
“At the heart of this album is a young, working woman asking “Do you see this right now? I can’t be the only one.” This is an album about looking, and Krieger fills up each lonely space she enters with her gaze. Krieger asks you to look, to really, really look, so that you can remember something, however small it is, when it’s all gone.”

The music of Little Mazarn is a cool float a few feet from the ground through a dimly lit, almost familiar forest. It is quieter than silence, big as everything, still but always moving. If you’ve ever had flying dreams, or an amazing night time bike ride on LSD, this might be a world for you. Chords are made up of notes; Little Mazarn gives them all their own moment. There are NO superfluous notes played here. Lindsey’s kind and twisting voice ambles along over the spare sounds of Jeff Johnston’s saw bowing, Ralph White’s electric mbira wanderings, and her own slow banjo. Like DJ Screw, Bohren & Der Club of Gore, and anyone who chooses to walk instead of ride, Lindsey realizes the amazing power of slow… slow… slow music. Lindsey is at once a baby and a wise old man. Get in this canoe at dawn on some Texas river that remembers when Comanche slept under the stars.
