Faux Amis is a French American pop duo led by Noé Boon and pianist Richard Sears,with Sam Wilkes (bass) & Hamir Atwal (drums) . They started their collaboration creating music for the Arte/A24 production “Icon of French Cinema,” which premiers at the Deauville American Film Festival in September. Noé and Richard met each other through an emergent Los Angeles musical milieu that includes Sam Wilkes, Louis Cole, and other like minded collaborators. They formed Faux Amis to give further expression to their shared love for 1960s and 70s pop, 90s no wave, and contemporary jazz.
