7:30 Door 8:00 Show $12.00 suggested donationJoe Moffett is interested in mantras, glossolalia, katydids, bird calls, and metal pipes. He is a co-founder of ambient improv trio Earth Tongues with Carlo Costa and Dan Peck as well as Windscour with Zach Rowden and an eponymously-named synth-trumpet duo with Cecilia Lopez, whose album Caprichos was released in 2021. He has also performed compositions by Carlo Costa (Strata), Vinny Golia, Tom Hamilton (Habitat Paradox), Cecilia Lopez (Machinic Fantasies, Dos (tres)), and Yoshi Wada (Earth Horns with Electronic Drone). Neither/Nor, Underwolf, Eh?, NotTwo, Tripticks Tapes, Tubapede, and Prom Night Records are homes to his recorded material. Joe can be found in the park with his head swiveling whilst shadows and silhouettes zing past.Sam Decker is a Brooklyn based musician whose output reflects a wide spectrum of music, from free improvisation to structured instrumental music, to pop and indie music. Some of these groups include the jazz quintet Shrove(Sunnyside), the instrumental rock band Good Intentions, and the free improvising group Sfyria Trio (Astral Spirits), along with solo saxophone projects. This performance will feature an entirely new band with entirely new music, featuring Dov Manksi, Noah Garadebian, and Nathan Ellman-BellSweet World delivers a brand new set of compositions by trumpeter Kenny Warren. Lyrical and rhythmically driven noise/jazz with it’s gaze toward the transcendental.
