    Piano music and Pickling with Phillip Golub. Afternoon show -Oct 29

    Phillip Golub comes to The Owl to celebrate his debut solo piano release on Greyfade. A beautifully meditative and architectural set of loops for solo piano, “Filters” approaches the concept of endless repetition through the prism of his radiant pianism. Golub’s loops unite the austerity of the systems-based with the infinite variety & imagination of live performance. More at Greyfade: https://www.greyfade.com/releases/filters.
     
    This unique afternoon (2-5pm!!) release show will feature long-duration performances of the loops plus an opportunity to take home a special long-duration object of your own making. For a voluntary donation, assorted vegetables, jars, and vinegar will be available at The Owl bar for you to prepare a pickle jar to take home and contemplate alongside the music. Hot-off-the-press vinyl will also be available for purchase.
