akie bermiss is affable, near-sighted, hirsute, and a nerd of the highest water. nevertheless, he has also somehow managed to cultivate and live a double-life as cool and *very* hip musician. his favorite thing to do is write (and, subsequently, sing) songs about aliens and spaceships and falling in love.
Belle-Skinner is a dark nostalgic singer-songwriter based in upstate New York and Brooklyn. With a hauntingly beautiful, lilting soprano and innate sense of melody she crafts tales of songbirds, sirens and desert nomads – nuanced and layered stories which bridge the gap between past and present. Though her influences cover a broad range of genres – from French chansons and Russian folk to contemporary alt-pop and rock – her voice often draws comparisons to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Mary Hopkin, and early St. Vincent.
Kirsten Maxwell is New York native, turned nomadic singer/songwriter. She got her start in the children’s chorus at the famed Amato Opera, where her parents met and performed. Although her cleverly poetic lyrics and heart centric performances have been celebrated in competitions and venues across the US, Maxwell is best loved for her voice. She was last seen touring with legendary singer/songwriter Judy Collins who calls Maxwell’s performances a “sheer joy”.w/s/g Jean Rohe and Mark Ettinger
