Vireo was born in 2015 out of band-lead Chris Beaulieu’s childhood home, the creative projection  of eight years spent with a band that was due for, but never got, their big break. Bringing together acoustic instrumentation, alternative percussion, and natural soundscapes, alongside lyrics rooted in themes of the natural world and human emotion, across all albums, Vireo’s intention is clear: create authentically.  Over the years, Vireo has released several homegrown recordings and collaborated with a community of artists in order to play in the Pittsburgh DIY scene and tour the east coast; Vireo is rooted in and represents the community that makes it a whole. With a lineup now consisting of Anthony Capozzi, Matt Hochberg and Suzanne Gomes, the gang is set to release their 4th LP, Moss Longing on August 19th.

Field Guides is the ever-shifting project of Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Benedict Kupstas, accompanied by an expansive list of collaborators both on record and live. With Ginkgo, the band’s third album—after 2014’s Boo, Forever (which The Big Takeover called “sprawling, dense, and mysterious”) and 2019’s This Is Just A Place (which Gold Flake Paint called “one of the year’s most rewarding discoveries”)—Kupstas has created a “profoundly organic indie folk space” (PopMatters), a record “full of beautifully intricate details and crashing waves of melody” (For The Rabbits).

Born and raised in rural Massachusetts and currently living in Brooklyn, NY—via Colorado and then Philadelphia—Eliza Edens weaves together disparate influences of people and place into her work to create mesmerizing sonic tapestries with guitar and voice. With a love for tinkering with alternate tunings à la Nick Drake, a curious harmonic ear from years of childhood classical piano lessons, and an ever-expanding affinity for words and stories, Edens’ songs build a kaleidoscopic world that documents the parallels between hope and heartbreak. The resulting sound is a diverse palette of guitar-based, experimental folk-rock centered around Edens gently cradled voice and brimming at the edges with pockets of sonic whimsy. Edens is currently putting the finishing touches on a new sophomore album.  Her debut record Time Away From Time (2020) was called “… a mesmerizing 29 minutes of delicate finger picking and poetry in motion” by No Depression.
