Since she was 12 years old, Samoa Wilson has been captivating audiences with a voice the New York Times calls a “sweet, effortless, old-timey” . Raised in the riverbed of traditional North American folk music, she came up in the Boston scene, under the wing of Jug Band and Folk legend, Jim Kweskin. Their latest collaboration is a record of New Orleans tinged jazz to be released in 2020.The Four O’clock Flowers, Samoa’s duo with slide guitar maestro Ernie Papa Vega, has become a staple of the thriving New York City Folk community. Her choice of repertoire makes the difference : torchy and honeyed renditions of haunting little-known tunes, from a woman’s perspective. Drawing deep from the well of traditional material, she poses a modern complaint- saluting the transformation of women’s labor and suffering into triumph. Look out for her newest duo, Fatboy Wilson and Old Viejo Bones, who will be releasing a record in late summer, of rollicking Jug Band chestnuts from the canon and brand new original protest songs.Emma Claye is an up and coming actress, singer, and songwriter based in New York City. As an actress, Emma has performed in various theatre and musical theatre productions in addition to television and film. She’s studied at The New York Film Academy, Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and currently studies under Anthony Abeson. As a vocalist, Emma has performed at various venues from the Kennedy Center to Rockwood Music Hall. In addition to performing, she is also a songwriter. In 2014, she released her first EP, “Arts and Sciences”, a compilation of original pop-soul and R&B songs. She recently released a new single entitled “I Imagine Love” on all major streaming platforms. Emma continues to write new music and perform in New York City, creating meaningful, honest art through music and acting.
